What about making it an actual unit, and if the bad guy is strong enough to kill it he can deflect it back at goku (like buu tries to do in the show) or something like that where it can be deflected.
And again, I don't like the idea of a dialogue box because it disrupts gameplay. I think the players should just have to type in a mana amount or percent.

I said 50 or 25 %...anyway, yes, you understood me. And as I said, it's not skill for every fight, just a last hope skill. But I also like renegadebebops idea of having the chance to pull back the Genkidama. And nobody said it should be a dialogue box, it should be a trigger like ss.

Who said anything about it being used every fight? I figure plenty of times if Goku does end up against someone he can't kill himself he would just solar flare them, run away a bit, then teleport to somewhere else.
I know it sounds superbly powerful in theory, but in practice we both know it won't be quite that great, considering the factors of Z fighter mana and whatnot. Maybe once a game it will be used effectively, and even that is pushing it.

What about also, to enhance teamwork, there has to be maybe a 2000 maximum range of people who cant give energy.

No, I don't think that should be added. Considering Goku was able to gather energy from entirely different planets it doesn't make sense to implement a limited range for the energy gathering.
However, there should be a marginal boost for every tree that is standing, to go with the idea that the Spirit Bomb gathers energy from all life forms. That would give a chance to weaken the Bomb before it is even made via a large scale lumber operation by the Geti Star.

Maybe once a game it will be used effectively, and even that is pushing it. That may be true, but in almost every game I play Goku is the strongest Z-Fighter later on, if he's not played by a noob. So I think Goku shouldn't be made that much stronger, Gotenkz should rather power up the others. It may be hard to power up, but if you're used to it after doing it a few times it will work more often. What about also, to enhance teamwork, there has to be maybe a 2000 maximum range of people who cant give energy. When fighting Buu Goku uses energy of everyone on the earth.

Yeh, but i think going to all living creatures is going to far. How'd bout those creeps and such and saga heroes. The Spirit Bomb wil lbe overpowered. And without those trees, Geti cant gain lumber and will make the terrain look very plain. The Spirit Bomb should be able to be only used for the ones who are still alive. Maybe Gotenkz could add a "Dead" item in your inventory if your dead and with that item, you will have that yellow angelic ring above ur head. Will make game more interesting.

The point of the trees is that if Geti Star chops them down to add to his lumber supply then they won't be able to boost the spirit bomb.
And I never mentioned Goku himself getting stronger. The whole point of the spirit bomb is that all the Z fighters would have to work together, and even then it only would kill one evil guy (who would be able to come back soon enough due to unlimited revives)

If you go by the anime it'll take about four episodes ;D
If you go by the movies it'll take about 5 minutes.

How often have you ever seen Z-Fighters work together? I've seen that..maybe 2 or 3 times yet, and I've played the map very often.
It's sure true that evil players can come back fast, but as you should know, as soon as you add a very powerful skill, it'd be abused as far as possible. When I'm playing evil I'd be very annoyed if I see Goku and he throws a spirit bomb at me, dealing a lot of damage and maybe killing me directly. To counter this evil players would also have to work together, but I've really never seen that before.

Of course you'd be annoyed.
What does it take to get it through people that the spirit bomb is supposed to be horrifically powerful and kill or seriously injure whom it is used on?
And you can't really abuse it. Spirit Bomb would have a huge cooldown, not to mention all the mana it takes from everyone.

I am ok with spirit bomb, so long as it isnt an auto kill.. balancing the dmg, and cooldown will take some time though...
And of course, it makes sense to give evil something similar, the bebi anger idea isnt bad...

bebi revenge ball was like an evil spirit bomb. excpet it only killed if you lost the "game" goku won it and lived. game must be ultra hard though. like a maze over a certain area. you havta stay on the path in finish in the time limit
