Saiyan Rage is when a saiyan experiences an overwhelming amount of emotions which he/she then uses it as a trigger for more power.(at least i think it is ;D) So you could say it is a power boost.

Yea, Saiyans anger real easy, and it makes them alot more powerful. Saiyans rage has been known to trigger SS2 for Gohan and SS for several Z-Warriors(but not SS3 for Gotenks, if I remember correctly, he said he could have gone SS3 at anytime, but just wanted to make a good show with Buu).

saiyan rage is what made gohan strong in the first-place, vs raditz, also it triggered ss and ss2 for him, ss because he got enraged of the tought that frieza hurt goku (wich was by then already done, but he rememberd it and got enraged) also for vegeta it wasn't rage, it was a NEED to go super-saiyan, he already had the rage because goku got ss before him.
future trunks got ss because he was enraged at the androids for killing future gohan.
not sure about goten and chibi-trunks

Super Saiyan is a state achieved by unleashing the baser nature and instinct within the brutal saiyan psyche. Their hair changes color because a large amount of energy and power has become focused into them, inadvertadly drawn from the life or "chi" in the air, ground, and so forth around them, also from deep within themselves. This form is achieved by becoming enraged, when a saiyan's anger, sorrow, and such push to the point where a human would simply snap and (metaphoracly) break, a Saiyan instead falls into its' baser instincts, the said reaction drawing forth this energy and power into them and infusing them with the Super Saiyan aspect. Personally, I think it can only happen if the saiyan has a good amount of power to begin with, otherwise they simply power up some from rage, but if they have enough power, it melds with that which is drawn in and triggers SS. SS2 and SS3 happens in much the same way, but is more of a "Evolution". Gohan had to "use the pain of loss" as goku put it to go into the rage to go ss, same for him going ss2, 16 opening his mind before being killed by cell. Vegeta couldn't stand being second to his rival, goku, and it pushed him into a maddening rage which opened SS. Goku's life-long friend krillin was killed by frieza, this tirggered his. Saiyan Rage is simply the saiyan's ability to adapt to emotional trauma. Once the super saiyan aspect has been unleashed, it may be accessed at any time by simply pushing your power to the brink and recalling something that pushs the saiyan's emotions out of control. Goten and Chibi-Trunks can go SS because of their naturally high powerlevels. You know that children tend to change radically emotionally so it makes sense that they obtained SS by either it happening on its' own or hearing of it from one of the z fighters and pushing themselves to it. The end.

Kaioken is a intense powerup utilized by goku. His training with King Kai allows him to utilize his energy in a unique way to not only change his whole energy structure for better preformance, but radiate a red aura. Kaioken isn't a form, just a high-class powerup.

Don't forget, Kaoken drains ALOT of life. That's why Kai never mastered it, and why he told Kakarot NEVER to use Kaoken times 10. Goten and Trunks reached SS early because their fathers had already acheived SS by the time they were conceived.

What would having ss have to do with it? A aspect or transformation cannot be passed down unless genetic. Super Saiyan is not genetic, it is a state of being achieved a certain way.

Super Saiyan Trans for Goku the 1st time was purely rage, uss was just training, ss2 was a mix of rage and knowin how to achieve it sence Gohan knew b4 goin it he cud do it but didnt want to till cell pissed him off so much, and ss3 is just a matter of hard training to achieve. Also SS4 is just the harness power of a Goozzaru

Are you arguing against me or someone else zarmat? I stated that SS2 and SS3 are more of evolutions than individual transformations, and I left SS4 out because it simply -is- a controlled G.Oozaru.
And you have to admit...everything I posted here makes perfect sense. ;D
